We are proud to announce that artist Daan Roosegaarde has won the Charlotte Köhler Art Award 2012; for his "unique cross-overs between art, design and architecture".

"Dutch Design in the 21st Century: Hands on!" by Jeroen Junte shows how Dutch Design re-evaluates craftsmanship and experiments with new digital production methods. Including interviews with Renny Ramakers, Joep van Lieshout, Studio Makkink & Bey and Daan Roosegaarde.

Studio Roosegaarde is commissioned to create interactive 'Lotus Dome' for the City of Lille by Lille3000, France. This new artwork of smart foils and light will premiere this autumn in the magical Sainte Marie Madeleine Church. Stay tuned!

With pleasure we announce our new upcoming artwork Lotus 7.0. This curved wall is made out of hundreds of heat sensitive smart foils which, while interacting, unfold themselves in an organic way; creating little see-troughs between private and public domain. Here physical walls become alive, in a poetic morph of hiding and showing. First launch: Paris.
